Rent Manager traces back to 1982, when founder Dave Hegemann built the original version on an Apple IIe to manage his own family's property. London Computer Systems, the company behind it, incorporated in 1987 and has been building Rent Manager since 1988. It is headquartered in Cincinnati, and the name comes from London, Ohio, where it started.
